We are proud to share that our research project “Innovative the biocomposite filaments for 3D printing” has been selected as one of the Outstanding Research Works featured in KU, Who are we?, a special publication launched on the occasion of 2025 Kasetsart University’s Commencement Ceremony 🎓.
In fact, this research presents an innovative approach to the fabrication of 3D printing filaments by combining polylactic acid (PLA) with activated carbon derived from agricultural residues, specifically durian husk waste. The resulting biocomposite filaments exhibit enhanced mechanical strength, thermal stability, crystallinity, and adsorption capacity, while simultaneously promoting the sustainable utilization of agricultural by-products. Absolutely, this work embodies the principles of the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy, reinforcing the University’s commitment to sustainability and responsible innovation.
The selection of this project as one of the University’s outstanding research achievements underscores Kasetsart University’s leadership in advancing academic excellence, fostering cutting-edge innovation, and contributing to the development of both the national and global community.
